GELEPHU, Bhutan — October 2026 — On 1 November 2026, Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC) will mark an extraordinary milestone with the rising of 108 Jangchub Chortens, each 15 metres tall, in a single day. To commemorate this historic occasion, Pemadruk Bhutan Duty Free is introducing the 108 Chorten Limited Edition Commemorative Gold Card.
The 108 Chortens represent a remarkable expression of faith, unity and collective dedication. Their rising together in a single day will be a defining moment in the journey of Gelephu Mindfulness City — one to be remembered and shared with future generations.
The 108 Chorten Limited Edition Commemorative Gold Card
A Keepsake of a Historic Occasion
Created especially to honour the 1 November event, the commemorative card features the silhouette of a chorten above the numerals “108”, fashioned from 3 grams of 999 fine gold. It bears the date of the occasion and the name Gelephu Mindfulness City. This limited edition commemorative card has been produced in collaboration with The Singapore Mint.
Only 300 pieces will be issued, offering a lasting memento of the extraordinary day the 108 Jangchub Chortens rise together.

- For the reserved gold card, you can pickup from Selected Pema Druk Duty Free Stores from 4th November 2026.
- The Limited Edition Gold Card will be available at all Pemadruk Bhutan Duty Free stores November 4th onwards
Payment Options:
1. Online Credit Card Payment – A secured payment link will be sent to you. Please note that a 5% credit card processing fee applies.
2. Bank Transfer – Payment can be made via wire transfer. Our bank details will be provided once you confirm your order.
3. In-Store Payment – If you are based in Bhutan, you may visit any of our PemaDruk Bhutan Duty Free outlets from Wednesday, 28 October, to make full payment. Our team will contact you once your order is ready for collection after 4 November.
